Generalists or specialists: often with degrees in public health and/or tropical medicine (community health, psychiatry, surgery, anaesthesia, etc.) Most of the doctors’ role is focused on general medicine. In the field, their remit sometimes involves performing consultations but most often consists in training local teams, implementing access to care activities in collaboration with local players.

They may also ensure healthcare activities for primary care and mental health, vaccination, training, health education and pharmacy management. Like the doctors, they also implement access to care actions in collaboration with local players.

Psychologists generally intervene in post-emergency contexts and work primarily within post-traumatic stress situations. They provide trainings and support the set up of medico-psychological reception units in collaboration with local players.
