| The recruitment criteria common to all roles are:
- Professional work experience (in France or abroad) of at least two years, relevant to the posted position - A working knowledge of English or Spanish is obligatory (Russian, Chinese, Arabic or Portuguese are sometimes required) - An availability from six months to one year with advance notice not to exceed 3 months in most of the programmes |
Coordinators (medical and non-medical)
Supervise and implement all the activities of the programme and the teams: team management, administration of the project lifecycle and the planning, negotiation and representation and management of safety
Recruitment criteria :
- Several substantive previous positions in the field in the context of humanitarian programmes; these should testify to an intimate understanding of the field.
Doctors:
Generalists or specialists: often with degrees in public health and/or tropical medicine (community health, psychiatry, surgery, anaesthesia, etc.) Most of the doctors’ role is focused on general medicine. In the field, their remit sometimes involves performing consultations but most often consists in training local teams, implementing access to care activities in collaboration with local players.
Recruitment criteria :
- Generalists: Holders of an equivalent medical licence or of an MD
- Specialists: having 4 validated residency semesters
Nurses & midwives:
Generalist or specialist training (public health, community health, tropical diseases, psychiatry, operating room, anaesthesia, etc.). They may also ensure healthcare activities for primary care and mental health, vaccination, training, health education and pharmacy management. Like the doctors, they also implement access to care actions in collaboration with local players.

- Holder of a National Diploma with 2 years’ experience (private practice or hospital)
Clinical psychologists:
Psychologists generally intervene in post-emergency contexts and work primarily within post-traumatic stress situations. They provide trainings and support the set up of medico-psychological reception units in collaboration with local players.

Administrators:
Supervise, organise and ensure the programme’s HR, financial, accounting, budgetary, legal and administrative management.

- Training in management or having substantive experience in the given field. They must prove at least 2 years’ experience in financial, accounting and/or budgetary management
Logisticians :
In charge of the living and working facilities, provide sound stewardship of the logistics programmes (construction, rehabilitation, sanitation) and assists in defining and applying the security rules.
Recruitment criteria
- Technical training (construction, hydraulics, mechanics, etc.); they must have at least 2 years’ professional experience in their given field
This list is not exhaustive and numerous other kinds of professions may be needed depending on the circumstances of the project (human rights specialists, communications experts, laboratory technicians, etc.)
